High School

High school instruction follows the state-approved graduation plans with a focus on the Distinguished Achievement Graduation Plan (DAP).

Throughout the 4-hour school day, all students are exposed to 4 core areas of instruction (English Language Arts, Math, Science & Social Studies), along with various other curricula.  All curricula at Chaparral Star Academy is above and beyond the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for that particular course.  Instruction is accelerated (we typically move faster through the curriculum than surrounding schools) and compacted (we fit the information into 40 minutes).  Courses are teacher-led and focus more on the core analysis and synthesis of the material, rather than basic knowledge.

Below is a list of courses offered with links to descriptions.  This website is still under construction and all courses may not have links.  Please be patient as we update.
