ACCOLADES FOR CSA
Educational Results Partnership and the Institute for Productivity in Education have named Chaparral Star Academy a 2016 Honor Roll school. The 2016 Honor Roll recognizes public elementary, middle, and high schools that demonstrate consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps.
Through national research, the entities have identified a common set of success factors in higher performing Honor Roll Schools. These include clear, specific learning objectives aligned to college and career readiness, along with evidence-based instructional practices; establishing system-wide mission of college and career readiness for all students; investing in human capital; maintaining data and assessment systems to monitor school and student performance; and deploying resources and guidance to support schools’ efforts to prepare all students for college and career.
We are honored and will proudly display the banner that exemplifies this achievement.
In addition, US News and World Report extended a Gold designation to CSA High School.
Students in need of attendance recovery may attend the SCRAP session scheduled for Saturday, April 29th from 8:00-12:00. Miss Zolli will host.
Igor Borracini competed in the Austin Area Annual Chinese Language Speech Contest on April 22nd. Igor presented a self-composed Mandarin speech and proudly received first place in the Advanced 4+ Years Learning Mandarin category.
We are proud of you, Igor!
