Last Day to Submit OCPE for Fall 2020

For high school student athletes who participate in off-campus physical activities, oftentimes the activity can substitute for physical education graduationrequirements.

In order for participation in an off-campus physical activity to substitute asa high school physical education credit, the activity must be approved byChaparral Star Academy and the Texas Education Agency.  A list of currentagencies can be found on the OCPEsection of our website.

Agencies areonly approved for 3 years. CSA will re-apply for approval for every agency thatexpired in 2019-20.  If there are any agencies you wish to be added to thelist for approval, please e-mail the front office by September 18, 2020.  Regardless whether the agencywill be approved or not (to be determined after the due date for theapplication), an application must still be submitted by the due date for anynew agencies added to the list.

Please note that students who are enrolled in an OCPEprogram during the Spring semester are required to be assessed for FITNESSGRAM.

If a studentwishes to take advantage of this opportunity, he/she will need to submit the Off-Campus PE Substitution Application(with ALL necessary signatures andattachments) found on the OCPEsection of our website by September 18, 2020.
