Homework lies at the heart of Chaparral Star Academy’s model.  In fact, Chaparral Star Academy considers late or missing homework a discipline issue and maintains a strict Homework Policy.  Students at CSA will have more homework than in a traditional school setting – although not usually equal to double.  Homework load is very individual to each student and each class.

Homework assignments for K-2nd grade students can be found on the teacher’s website.  Assignments will be posted at week’s beginning.

Homework assignments for 3rd – 12th grade students can be found by accessing Google Classroom.  Assignments for AM (morning) students will be posted by noon daily, while assignments for PM (afternoon) students will be posted by 4:15pm daily.

To access Google Classroom via a student’s Chromebook, simply head to the website classroom.google.com. This will bring up all of the classrooms to which the student is assigned. However, if the student has “logged out” of his/her chaparralstaracademy.com account, he/she will need to re-login under that account.

To access Google Classroom from any other device (e.g. home computer), the student must first log in to his/her chaparralstaracademy.com account (through mail.google.com). Then, using the same browser, the student can go to classroom.google.com.
