ASVAB

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple choice test, administered by the United States Military Entrance Processing Command, used to determine qualification for enlistment in the United States Armed Forces. It is often offered to American high school students when they are in the 10th, 11th and 12th grade, though anyone eligible for enlistment may take it.

After a student takes the ASVAB, he/she can access CEP-exclusive features.  The ASVAB CEP helps you figure out what you’re good at, what is important to you, and the jobs that match your skills and interests. After you take the test, you will participate in a series of activities to help you understand your scores, yourself, and your options.

State legislation (SB 1843)requires every Texas public high school to offer the ASVAB test (http://www.asvabprogram.com/) annually to all 10th-12th graders.

CSA will be hosting the administration of the ASVAB during the Fall of every year (typically early November).  Students who elect to take part in the opportunity will be excused from classes (afternoon students to attend the morning session).

Students should be aware that even though taking the ASVAB will be counted as an excused absence, any work due on the day of test is still due on the respective day.
